Inspired by traditional Ukrainian egg decorating techniques using Dye and Beeswax.

A pysanka (plural: pysanky) is a Ukrainian Easter egg, decorated with traditional Ukrainian folk designs using a wax-resist method. The word pysanka comes from the verb pysaty, “to write”, as the designs are not painted on, but written with beeswax. Instructor Mariya Haponenko has taught this beautiful art to children and adults, here in Toronto as well as to school children in Korea. We provide everything, including the eggs.
