ACRYLIC ART CLASSES, FALL, 2016
This acrylic course is open to all levels of experience. From the beginner to the advanced student, each participant will have the benefit of guided personal instruction as well as the demonstrations during each class. Students will experience a warm, congenial and supportive environment to learn and create in.
Beginner students can expect to learn many techniques to help them understand the medium. Colour theory will be taught in each class as well as properties of paint and the different kinds of materials and brushes available and how they can be used.
Intermediate and advanced students will continue their journey to becoming an artist and practice the many techniques they have learned in previous courses. These students will be encouraged to push themselves to reach new levels of difficulties, honing their skills. Revisiting colour theory and properties of painting will be a continuing theme for these students along with some new ways of creating and expressing themselves through more aggressive applications of paint on canvas.
Upon completion of this course, all students will take away a minimum of three paintings and a higher level of understanding of this medium and its many characteristics.
